How is our care provided?

Our philosophy of care is to provide our residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.

Before becoming a resident, a detailed pre-assessment ensures that the individual’s health, physical, social and emotional needs can be met.

This assessment is then developed, with input from the individual, family and friends, into a plan of care – the template through which these needs are managed. Care plans are regularly reviewed to ensure that any changes in needs are accounted for.

Core valuesAt Ashton Healthcare all our members of staff are qualified to deliver the highest standard of care and do so according to our core values, which are fundamental to our philosophy of care.

A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in care practice and legislation.

New residents are able to keep their existing GP if he/she wishes, however we do have GP’s visiting our homes each week, or as required. Referrals to all departments within the NHS can be arranged through the GP and the home.
