An experienced administrator required for our brand new care home situated in Haywards Heath. The right candidate will be working closely with the Home Manager and will help support the front line staff with admin duties.
The job involves dealing with the general public and local authorities so a friendly, smart confident manner is necessary for the role as you will be the first point of contact. You will need good IT and organisational skills and also have the ability to multi-task and manage your own time in an efficient manner so that tasks are carried out and messages communicated swiftly and all workflow runs smoothly.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)
Routine answering, contacting, taking and giving messages, bed enquiries and any other enquiries.
Receive relatives where necessary. Show new visitors and prospective residents around the Home.
Running of the office
Maintaining files including staff and resident files.
Ensuring continuous availability of stationery and office equipment.
Sorting of mail, photocopying etc.
Attend staff and resident meetings and take minutes;
Arranging flowers for funerals, cards for birthdays etc.
Organise appointments for residents where necessary.
Deal with Admission and Discharge paperwork for residents.
Update resident lists and maintain up to date list of residents’ fees.
Arrange Purchase Order numbers for deliveries or work required.
Staff time sheets.
Staff training logs etc.
Any other adhoc office work to ensure the smooth running of the Home.
Knowledge of Excel and Word is desirable.
Salary Dependent on Experience
